Biography

Seka was born on April 15, 1954, in Virginia. She was a winner of numerous beauty contests in her teens. When she worked in an adult bookstore in the 1970s there were a lot of complaints that she was prettier than the models who were included in the products she sold to customers. Consequently, she left that region in Virginia and moved to Las Vegas. There she created a naked design for an magazine, that attracted a lot of attention with her first proposal of filming a film while still in her early 20s. Then she moved into Los Angeles so that she could focus full-time to further her modeling career within the naive modeling business, under her stage name Seka.

Her entry into pornography happened in the year (1978 at the time she was just in her 20’s) in which the entire industry was transitioning between 35mm and video. Because of this increased exposure, she was an extremely well-known actors of the day and began her career alongside famous John Holmes. The influx of publicity led to an exuberant life, but she grew more responsible in her work in adult films and her personal life.

The content in her films throughout her career differs greatly, from gangbangs and anal sex as well as double penetration (DP) and lesbian-themed shoots. She also was a pioneer in the style of shaving pubic hair. It is a standard feature of films of today however was extremely rare in the past.

She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from AEBN in the year 2006. She is a part of the AVN Hall of Fame and has been praised by many of the other highly acclaimed artists of her time such as Ginger Lynn, Amber Lynn and Veronica Hart, who famously said, “As long as I’ve got an appearance, Seka has a place to be seated.
